Publisher “Zeit Verlag” the big winner at the 26th Lead Awards

At the LeadAwards 2019, a total of four awards were presented to the Editors-in-Chief of ZEIT and ZEIT WISSEN as well as two podcasts of ZEIT ONLINE and ZEITmagazin. This means the ZEIT Verlagsgruppe publishing group was the most-recognised media house at the event in Hamburg on December 9. Giovanni di Lorenzo was presented with the LeadAward in Gold in the category “Newspaper national”, while Andreas Lebert won the LeadAward in Bronze in the category “Magazine debate”.

Handelsblatt receives “European Newspaper Award”

Handelsblatt is chosen as the “Best Newspaper in Europe”: the jury at the 19th European Newspaper Awards selected the Düsseldorf-based business and financial newspaper as “European Newspaper of the Year” in the category: best national daily newspaper. Other winners this year come from Luxembourg  (“Tageblatt”, category: local newspaper), the Netherlands (“De Limburger”, category: regional newspaper) and Norway (“Morgenbladet”, category: weekly newspaper). A total of 185 newspapers from 27 countries participated in the European Newspaper Awards.
